Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered into a search box goes directly to the independent company that supplies the tool. That provider processes the query and returns its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When a visitor emails us, the message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the exchange. It is kept within our operation unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Web servers and analytics services can collect routine technical facts when a page loads:
- Device IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device type
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring website, when supplied
- Date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Small cookie files and analytics services help measure page traffic, performance, and points where visits end. Most browsers allow cookies to be limited or blocked. Turning them off can change how some site functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Operate, secure, and improve page performance
- Route search requests to the selected outside provider
- Measure which material visitors use
- Find and repair technical faults
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not build, retain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site describes official routes to Lubbock County clerks, the sheriff, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not compiled into a consumer report or a third party's criminal-history profile, and we are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through one of those tools is controlled by that provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices, not this policy. Review the provider's terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Lubbock County offices, Texas agencies, courts, legal resources, advertisers, or search partners. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination's privacy policy governs. Read it before giving that site personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. We do not operate those tracking systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search companies processing a query
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks placing ads
- A government body or law-enforcement agency acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used security measures are applied to the information we control. No online service can guarantee complete security, so we cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect a minor's personal information. If information from a person under 18 is identified, it will be removed after a valid request.
Your Data Rights
The Texas Public Information Act governs records held by Texas government bodies, while Government Code Chapter 411 controls dissemination of state criminal-history information. Those laws do not turn this private resource into a government custodian. For personal information that we hold, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information we hold
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information where applicable
- Opt out of certain processing where that choice is available
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as the service or applicable rules change. A revised version will appear here with a new effective date.
